TAPAS I: SERRANO HAM

We have talked about tapas in other posts, so we all know that they are amazing and we can talk about them for a long time. This is my first post about it and I hope that the other writers will write about their favorite and share with all our followers their recipes!

Here we have three easy tapas that you can make at your place when you have guests. Sorry for the presentation of the second one. It’s not the best, but let me tell you that it was quite difficult to roll them and make the fill look beautiful.  I have ate it before, the tase is the same, but not the presentation. Just to have in consideration, don’t make them all together, that’s a lot of serrano ham in one night.

Cut the melon in cubes and combine it with a as much as you want of serrano ham. If you like to try some new flavours use a little bit of balsamic vinegar. The three of them make a perfect combination, just don’t use a lot of vinegar.

For the presentation you can put a layer of serrano ham and on top the melon with some lines of balsamic vinegar. Another option is to cover the melon cubes with the serrano ham or copy the picture. Of course you can use your imagination and make an amazing presentation.

MELON + JAMON SERRANO

Cortar el melón en cubos no muy grandes (tamaño bocado) y agregar cantidad a gusto de jamón serrano. Se puede agregar vinagre balsámico si quieren probar diferentes sabores. Los tres hacen una muy buena mezcla.

FIGS + CREAM CHEESE + ROCKET + SERRANO HAM

This was the best of all the rolls that we made. Is not that easy to roll out all the ingredients.

First you put one slice of serrano ham and then you cover it with, not much, cream cheese to make the rocket stayed glued to it. Then you add one fig and you roll it completely. Finally you cut the roll on a diagonal so you can show the beautiful fill that you have done and they can stand on a tray o plate by themselves.

HIGOS + QUESO CREMA + RUCULA + JAMON SERRANO

GREEN OLIVES + BLUE CHEESE + SERRANO HAM

On one toothpick put one green olive, a cube of blue cheese and a slice of serrano ham. The amount depends on you, but if you see the picture that’s enough to taste them all and to feel a explosion of flavours on your mouth (have you seen Ratatouille the movie? you’ll feel the same fireworks they felt)

ACEITUNA VERDE + QUESO AZUL + JAMON SERRANO
